There is this little park not far from my home. It's a great place to go for a walk: one of my favorite pastimes, and a fabulous place to photograph: my window on the world.
This time of year (early August) the grass stands tall, in places more than two meters from it's base. When the sun sets the warm light set the grass aglow, It's a show I look forward to each year.

It's also a good place to go photograph the night sky. While light pollution is a problem, especially with St John's to the north, in other directions the sky is surprisingly clear.

Bidgoods Park is located in Goulds, in the south end of St John's Newfoundland.
Click on this link to see the location on Google Maps. This Google imagery (at this time) is about 4 years old and the area has been fixed up considerably with parking available in a lot of the Backline.
