Bell Island - A Newfoundland Photography Gem

Bell Island is a landscape photographers masterpiece waiting to happen. Situated in Newfoundland's Conception Bay the island measures 9 km in length, 3 km in width and has an area of 34 km². It is best known for it's iron ore mines last of which closed in 1966. The island is serviced by ferry out of Portugal Cove, here is a link to the schedule. Be sure to check for ferry updates before you decide to visit, the system can be a little cantankerous!

I've been going there for the last few years and I'm looking forward to exploring and practicing what I love in the years to come, landscape photography. There is a lot more to discover and good light to find.
