Whenever I am doing a personal photography project one thing I'm always looking for is to do something unique and I had wanted for sometime to take portraits as the snow fell gently. I had a great opportunity just recently, the light was soft but yet had a bit of a sparkle to it and the snowflakes lingered for a time before they touched the ground. I spent a full afternoon downtown St John's Newfoundland in these perfect conditions.
Beautiful soft light is one thing but when you have a situation like this in the winter in Newfoundland, no wind and a gently falling snow you got to go for it, it doesn't happen often.
