Welcome to Busker Central

"Busker Central" is the prime location for buskers in St John's Newfoundland. It is located on the corner of Water St and George St, in a high pedestrian traffic area. It has many great coffee shops, pubs and restaurants in the area and on a sunny day the area is just bustling!

Downtown usually has people busking throughout out the year. During summer months on a nice day you may find a dozen or so scattered over Water St and Duckworth Streets. Stop for a minute and enjoy the entertainment, be sure to say hello and toss a coin or two!

The Great Newfoundand Iceberg Hunt

Icebergs are not what they used to be here in Newfoundland but at least the 2014 iceberg season looks promising. There seems to be lots around and some of them are impressive and their numbers are up from recent years. Unfortunately they don't match the size and numbers of those seen years ago but they are still a wonderful sight to behold.

Following are some iceberg photos I have taken recently and over the last 25 years.

The icebergs may not be as big or as plentiful as they were in the past but if you're willing to travel to Newfoundlands northeast coast or Northern Peninsula during iceberg season your chances of seeing a massive berg will greatly increase.

Thank you for stopping by!

We are looking for a few veterans to join us for a portrait session at the National War Memorial after the parade. All photographers are asked if they take a photo of a veteran to agree to send them an electronic copy.
